Bournemouth Car Key Company supply, cut, program and repair vehicle keys. We make keys on site when all keys are lost and open locked cars if you accidentally lock your keys in the cabin or boot. We also supply and install a wide range of vehicle locks and ancillary security products. Think of us as a similar business to a household locksmith but specifically for vehicles. We have a modern showroom and workshop located in the Moordown area of Bournemouth and run a mobile service in all BH postcode areas. ROOF RACK, TRAILER & CARAVAN KEYS
Quite often, vehicles have various locks on them in addition to the main door and ignition locks. These are often for ancillary devices such as roof racks, bike racks, trailers etc. Caravans and motor homes also have extra door locks. We can make extra keys for most of these locks.
TYPES OF ROOF RACK, TRAILER & CARAVAN KEYS:
1. Cylinder Keys
Most roof rack, trailer and caravan locks use a small cylinder key similar to an office furniture key. We can cut these keys from a sample key you bring into us, a valid key number or, if you are able to get the lock off the vehicle, from the lock itself if all keys are lost.
2. Radial Pin Tumbler Keys
Some trailer locks use a different type of mechanism to normal. The pins inside the lock are arranged in a circle. These keys are known as Radial Pin Tumbler or RPT keys. We can copy most types of this key from a pattern key that you bring into us and make some key series from a valid key number.
3. Rotating Disc Trailer Keys
These keys are often found on bike locks, padlocks, disc locks, trailer locks and other similar devices. We can copy them from a pattern you bring into us and sometimes make them from a valid key number when all keys are lost.
